This is my version of a pre-1900 tune I first heard in a Sam Chatmon video. I don't know why but the lyrics and imagery of this tune struck me from the first time I heard it and haven't left me yet. I think the older the song the stronger the hold it has on us sometimes. It's just a solo track with guitar and vocals recorded together and I hope you dig it!
